Background
Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. was founded by Paula Teacher in 1987 in response to the growing need for specialized services and in an effort to fill gaps in the service delivery system. The organization was incorporated in 1991 and continues to grow.
Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. specializes in many diverse areas such as vocational and behavioral services; behavioral health rehabilitation services (BHRS); Home and Community Habilitation; educational services, speech and language; sexuality education; staff development; staff training; and community mental health services. Our organization maintains licenses in both mental retardation (Vocational Facility) and mental health (Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation) and is an approved medical assistance provider. Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. also operates a Senior Care Residence licensed under PA Code 55, Chapter 2600.
The unique feature of services provided by Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. is that intervention is provided in the person's own environment, whether that be in their home, their supervised living arrangement, their school, their place of employment, or the community. Our pledge is that whatever the individual or family needs in the way of instruction, counseling, personal support or other assistance we'll strive to make it happen.
